    in the air, volatile organic compounds, etc. and causes acid rain and photochemical

      • 2017 Management Policy 'Efficiency Management'

        The uncertainty of our economy is getting worse over time. China which has the highest dependence on trade, is braking to infiltrate Korean products and services with counter-currents related to security issues and in United States, export barriers are rising due to Trump's strengthened trade protection. Japan's low Yen has weakened international competitiveness of Korean products. As our major trading partners have gained competitiveness in their domestic market, the world market where Korean products can gain competitiveness is being reduced.

      Domestic market conditions related to NANO products are as follows. In the first half of last year, due to government's fine dust control measures, it has been proved that 68% of the causes of ultra fine dust was due to nitrogen oxides from boilers in thermal power plants and factories.

    • Based on the results of the Ministry of Environment investigation, the regulation of nitrogen oxides in national thermal power plants and industrial boilers has been significantly strengthened and the demand for nitrogen oxides removal catalysts in 2017 has been growing to the largest since its introduction and this expanding demand is expected for the next 3 ~ 4 years.

      NANO has overtaken foreign catalysts supplier which have been the overwhelming No.1 position in terms of market share of SCR catalysts supplied to nationwide power plants and NANO has firmly established itself as the No. 1 supplier in the domestic thermal power plant market and will create larger gab between second tier competitor.

      NANO also supply more than 90% of domestic demand for SCR catalysts which supplied to marine diesel engines and this market dominating power will give resilience to sales as the shipbuilding market overcomes the recession.

    • The most favorable global energy policy for us is to increase the use of fossil fuels and reinforce of exhaust gas regulations. Fortunately, President Trump's energy policy and the Climatic Change Convention satisfy both of these conditions. For these reasons, it is expected that the United States coal-fired power plant will be extended in operation and the operation of gas-powered power plants will be expanded. Thereby increasing the market of nitrogen oxide removal catalysts is expected.

      Over the past two years, NANO have been expanding our global operations in spite of the difficult management period. In particular NANO is working on a large-scale project together with global companies in eastern Europe, Vietnam and India that coal-fired power plant is the main energy sources and has already achieved great results in Polish market.

    • With the uncertainty of the Korean economy growth, NANO has recently completed the paid-in capital increase. Through this, NANO is able to significantly reduce debts in the financial sector and carry out many large-scale domestic and overseas projects without interruption. Fortunately, catalyst prices is continuously rising. Combined with the good business opportunities that came with the strengthening of atmospheric environment as regulations, NANO intends to reinforce the "Efficiency Management", which is our management policy for the year, to achieve profit and to renew our financial structure.
